HailScore vs Skybridge
Both start from your address. HailScore tells you which storms came near; Skybridge documents what fell on one property on one date, for the claim.
Updated
Use HailScore's free check to see which storms came near your home. When you file or dispute a claim, our pick is the Skybridge report: satellite imagery and lightning plus NOAA MRMS hail size and SPC reports for your exact address, a public verification code, about one business day, from USD 249.
Side by side
We're Skybridge, which is why we're listed first.

Start free, then document the date that matters
A free score is the fastest way to learn whether hail came near your home and when. It is not built to answer the adjuster's question about one roof on one day.
Once you know the likely date, the Skybridge report documents it: your area drawn on the map, the storm’s satellite signature over it, lightning counts by distance, MRMS hail size and the nearest SPC reports, reviewed by a person and verifiable by code.
When the extra evidence pays off
A claim that was denied, a date the carrier disputes, a rural property far from radar, or a storm with few ground reports: in each case a second, independent source changes the conversation. See a sample report.
- Denied for "no hail in the area".
- Date of loss outside what the carrier believes.
- Property far from a radar site (rural reports).
A simple path from score to report
Most claims follow the same three steps.
- Screen: run a free address check to list the storms that came near the property.
- Pick the date: keep the candidates inside your policy period; if two storms are close together, use a 2–3 day window.
- Document: order the Skybridge report for that address and date, and send the PDF and its verification code with the claim.
What each one is not
A free score is a screening tool, not a document written for a claim file. A Skybridge report is not an inspection: it documents the storm at the property, and the adjuster still assesses the roof. Used in that order, the two save time on both sides.
When HailScore is enough
- You are buying or insuring a home and only want its storm history.
- Your claim is not disputed and nobody asked for proof.
